Mer Bleue Veterinary Hospital is growing, and we are searching for new team members to support our expanding patient care and client service needs. We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and team-focused Veterinary Assistant / ACCA to join our privately owned small animal hospital.
This is a hybrid role that supports both the front and back of the hospital. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys variety, communicates well, stays organized in a busy environment, and is comfortable helping wherever the team needs support.

Role Responsibilities
This position includes both ACCA/client care duties and veterinary assistant/patient care support duties.
ACCA / Client Care Duties
Responsibilities may include:
- Greeting clients and patients warmly
- Answering phones and managing email communication
- Booking appointments and managing schedule flow
- Checking clients in and out
- Processing payments and invoices
- Reviewing client instructions and helping with general questions
- Managing food and medication requests
- Supporting reminder communication and follow-up calls
- Helping maintain a clean, welcoming front reception area
Veterinary Assistant Duties
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting RVTs and veterinarians with patient handling
- Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas
- Cleaning and resetting rooms between appointments
- Assisting with basic patient care
- Supporting surgical and dental preparation as directed
- Cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing equipment
- Laundry, stocking, and general hospital cleaning
- Helping maintain patient comfort and low-stress handling standards

Previous veterinary clinic experience is preferred, but we are open to training the right person with the right attitude.
Schedule
This position includes opening and closing shifts depending on hospital needs.
Availability for rotating shifts is required.
