As a Counter Person / Cashier, you are often the first and last impression our guests have of Zet’s. Your role is key to creating an exceptional dining experience for every customer who walks through our doors.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Process cash, debit, credit card, and digital payments.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations.
- Ensure orders are entered correctly and communicated to the kitchen.
- Maintain a clean and organized front counter and dining area.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and courteously.
- Balance cash drawers and complete end-of-shift reconciliation.
- Restock supplies and assist with general restaurant duties.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is positive, dependable, and enjoys working in a busy hospitality environment.
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience is an asset.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
- Experience using POS systems and payment terminals is an asset.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting when required.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
