We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate CNC Specialist. This position reports to Plant Manager, Machining and will work in Vancouver, BC.
Vancouver:
Dometic Marine's headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic and combustion- based products.
As CNC Specialist of the Vancouver team, you will be responsible for ensuring the planning, installation, maintenance, service and repair of a variety of computer numerically controlled machine tools. This position also supports maintenance personnel in the test, assembly and machining of in-house devices.
General Responsibilities
- General understanding of ‘G’ Code programs to assist in repairing CNC machines and plant equipment.
- Use in-house lathes, mills and hand tools to create custom machine parts.
- Replace and configure servo amplifiers, drives, bearings, thrust bearings, ball screws, etc.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that the ideal candidate has the following qualifications and experiences:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Machine and Machine Tool Repair.
To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on CNC machines per manufacturer requirements.
- Replace and configure servo drives, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, tool changers, spindles and conveyers as required.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, coordinating with external OEM technicians when needed.
- Verify machine accuracy using precision equipment.
- Liaise with CNC programmers and machinists to troubleshoot programs.
- Support machinists and maintenance staff in resolving issues.
- Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Mazatrol, Mori Seiki & Okuma controllers.
