We are actively seeking qualified professionals to support engineering roles for nuclear projects in major areas, such as, new build including SMR in the province of Ontario, International new build, Refurbishment and Continuous Plant operation support modifications for nuclear generating Power Plants.

Assist in development, preparation of engineering procurement support deliverables (e.g. equipment and component specifications, calculations, bill of materials (BOMs), technical assessments, vendor document evaluations, etc.) for both nuclear and conventional systems in accordance with AtkinsRéalis/Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs and project requirements.

Perform engineering work related to specification, assessment and manufacturing and or supply of mechanical components to meet the needs of New Build Nuclear Power Plants.

Provide technical support to engineering stakeholders to determine the cost, quality, availability of equipment and components, analyze technical requirements, vendor provided information and documentation to identify suitable suppliers.

Review and acceptance of Manufacturer's documentation (Procedures, Inspection and Test Plans, Non-Conformances and/ or Design Deviation Requests) and obtain client acceptance, as required.

Prepare and/or review Engineering Quotation Request Packages (s) and Technical Tender Evaluations.

Perform complex procurement engineering and design support related assignments independently.

Provide technical guidance to assist team members or support employees assigned on a common project.

Attend walkdowns, perform site visits to client and manufacturer facilities and new build site, as required.

Interface with internal and external stake holders as required.

Support Engineering Management with timely updates on engineering progress as it relates to client deliverables.

Coordinate and interface with client, suppliers, stakeholders and other design disciplines or department to execute assigned engineering work.

Must be "Team" oriented with a demonstrated ability to work well with other and promote a positive work environment.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Engineering Science from an accredited University or equivalent degree as recognized by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) OR eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. This is mandatory.

A minimum of 10-15 years of related work experience in Engineering in mechanical and/or process system engineering principles with exposure in the manufacture /supply of nuclear and non-nuclear components for CANDU Nuclear Power Plants or Conventional Power Plants.

Experience working in an EPC/project delivery environment is an asset.

Engineering experience in the nuclear industry is an asset.

Site engineering and implementation experiences are assets.

Working knowledge nuclear codes and standards, including CSA N285.0, CSA N299, ASME BPVC Section II/III/V/IX codes and any other applicable standards or regulatory guides related to permanent plant components, pressure boundary equipment, and/ reactor or BOP systems is preferred.

Knowledge of mechanical equipment: pumps, heat exchangers, water filtration, demineralizer skids, structures and components.

Ability to apply engineering principles and develop effective practical solutions.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, including considering the plans of others.
