Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Christian Childcare Providers to support the development and well-being of children in our childcare center in Airdrie. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess relevant experience, and be committed to creating a safe and engaging space for young learners. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while fostering their growth through educational and caregiving activities.
Available Positions:
1) Out of School Care; Mon-Fri Split Shift (Minimum Lev 2): Mon-Thurs 7am - 5:30pm (Break from 9:30am-12noon). This position could also be split into 2 positions (1 each from 7:00-10:00am & 12:00-5:45pm).
2) Level 2; 8:00am-5:00pm / 8:30am-5:30pm
3) Level 2; 9:00am-6:00pm
Requirements
- Possess a Level 2-3: Early Childhood Educator Certificate
- Valid 1st Aid & CPR (or willing to get within first 3 months of employment)
- Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector search (dated within the last 6 months)
- Be a Christian and can provide a letter of reference from a Pastor attesting to your Christian character
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor children's activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational / Christian activities that promote learning and development
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, naps, and hygiene practices
- Foster positive social interactions among children and encourage cooperative play
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for children and families
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and any concerns
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet individual requirements
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and licensing regulations
Skills
- Experience working in a classroom setting or with young children
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and caregiving best practices
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and adaptability
- Strong teaching skills to facilitate developmental milestones through engaging activities
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and children
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in nurturing children's growth and development
- Ability to remain attentive, organized, and proactive in a dynamic environment

*Please note that the posted wage is for a Level 2 and includes the wage top-up.
Pay: $23.05 per hour
