We have an opportunity for a Carpenter Apprentice in their 2nd or 3rd year in the Commercial sector in our Edmonton region! We are seeking candidates who are experienced in their carpentry apprentice program, coachable, keen, knowledgeable, skilled, and driven to succeed in our business.We are proud of our remarkable Carlson team, and are seeking an individual who leads by example and has a proven track record.
Specifically, the Carpenter Apprentice willperform various carpentry tasks within the realm of the construction site, as per guidance and direction of the Superintendent or Site Supervisor, some duties may include (and are not limited to):
- Concrete forming, establish layouts and placing of concrete
- Plywood backings, parapet assembly, hanging doors, installing hardware
- Installation of washroom partitions and accessories
- Millwork installation
- Small drywall projects
- Various handyman tasks
- Various labour tasks at the worksite
- Adhoc tasks needing completion at the worksite
Requirements:
- Apprentice Carpenter in 2nd to 3rd year
- 2+ years’ experience in carpentry, while in a commercial construction environment
- Fall protection certification would be preferred
- Follow national and local building codes and all safety regulations
- Knowledge and experience in safety aspects while working in commercial construction setting
- Self-directed, motivated and competent individual, who follows direction while leading by example
