Responsibilities
- Set up and replenish buffet stations with fresh food items, ensuring presentation is attractive and inviting.
- Monitor food levels throughout service hours, promptly refilling or replacing items as needed to maintain variety and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness by regularly sanitizing surfaces, utensils, and buffet equipment to adhere to food safety standards.
- Assist guests with inquiries about menu items, dietary options, and buffet layout in a friendly and professional manner.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required, including slicing, garnishing, or portioning food.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to promote safety and hygiene.
- Clear used dishes and assist in cleaning the buffet area during shifts to uphold a tidy environment.
Requirements
- Prior food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests and team members.
- Experience with food handling, meal preparation, or kitchen work is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting trays or cleaning equipment.
