BayWest Medical Centre is seeking a full-time Medical Office Administrator to join our team. We are looking for a reliable, professional, and patient-focused individual who can thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Position Details
- Full-time position
- Evening and Saturday may be required sometimes
- Start date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities
- Greet, register, and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records and update EMR system
- Take patient vitals and room patients efficiently
- Perform clinical support tasks, including preparing vaccines and assisting physicians with required procedures
- Support smooth patient flow and uphold clinic policies
- Complete scanning, filing, and general office duties
- Carry out ad hoc duties assigned by management
- Perform any additional tasks required by physicians to support patient care and clinic operations
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare administrative role or customer service is a must
- Experience taking vitals and providing basic clinical support preferred (training can be provided)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Professional, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Be available for evenings and Saturdays sometimes
