Favoloso Ristorante is excited to welcome passionate and hardworking kitchen professionals to join our team as we prepare for the opening of our new upscale casual Italian restaurant in Vaughan.
We are currently hiring for Sous Chef who thrive in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality food with consistency, attention to detail, and professionalism.
As a Sous Chef, you will play an essential role in the daily kitchen operations, supporting both food preparation and service execution. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, efficient, and passionate about elevated casual dining.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food preparation for various menu items, ensuring consistency and quality
- Cook dishes according to recipes, presentation standards, and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils
- Follow food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist with meal assembly during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Support the kitchen team with basic cleaning tasks and equipment maintenance
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to food handling, knife skills, and kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, or in a similar kitchen role
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in plating and preparation
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Experience with Italian cuisine is an asset, but not required

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
