Labour Rights Law is seeking someone with strong LAA experience in employment law or litigation to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
· opening and closing of legal files;
· maintaining a full calendar, email management and managing lawyers’ practice;
· maintaining efficient file management and bring-forward system;
· drafting correspondence / responding to routine client correspondence;
· handling routine phone calls from clients;
· client Intake calls and setting up consultations;
· drafting, preparing, editing, and formatting various legal documents and correspondence;
· filing documents in all court levels;
· arranging court and tribunal filings and preparing binders for same;
· BCOnline searches;
· Assistance in preparing monthly invoices; and
· General administrative duties as required.
Qualifications and Key Skills
· An LAA Certificate from a recognized institution
· Minimum of 5 years of LAA experience
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organization skills
· Excellent knowledge of court/tribunal forms and procedures
· Strong technical skills
· Consistent high quality work
· Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
· Positive, team player
· Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Compensation
Labour Rights Law offers a competitive salary in the range of $60,000 - 70,000. We offer an excellent benefits package which includes long-term disability benefits, health and wellness spending account and 10 flex days per year along with flexible working arrangements.
