Green Bay Infrastructure Group is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for various projects throughout Central Newfoundland.
We are looking for dependable and safety-focused operators who can work productively in changing site, terrain, and weather conditions. Applicants should have experience operating one or more types of heavy equipment and take pride in completing quality work while protecting equipment and maintaining a safe worksite.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate assigned heavy equipment
- Complete excavation, grading, loading, hauling, site preparation or other assigned work
- Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance
- Identify mechanical concerns and report required repairs
- Follow project plans, site instructions and grade requirements
- Maintain productivity while protecting equipment, property and surrounding infrastructure
- Follow company safety procedures and environmental requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, ground crews and other operators
- Maintain required equipment and production records
- Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized and safe
Qualifications
- Previous heavy equipment operating experience is required
- Experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, articulated haul trucks or similar equipment
- Ability to operate safely and productively in varying terrain and weather conditions
- Good mechanical awareness and basic equipment maintenance skills
- Ability to follow plans, instructions, and site requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
- Strong commitment to safe work practices
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Applicants must hold the Newfoundland and Labrador licence class and endorsements required for the equipment they will operate, including a Class 8 Traction Engine endorsement and Class 09 Air Brake endorsement where applicable
- Relevant trade qualifications, safety training, first aid, and equipment certifications are considered assets
Pay: $30.00-$33.00 per hour
