Job Summary
FELLAS PAINTING AND RENO is seeking an experienced painter to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential, commercial, and industrial painting, with expertise in construction painting, restoration, and schematics. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, time management abilities, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming as needed
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate application
- Perform restoration work on existing structures with attention to detail
- Operate rigging equipment safely when working at heights or on scaffolding
- Use carpentry skills for minor repairs or modifications prior to painting
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each project
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and rigging equipment
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to scaffolding, working at heights, and handling hazardous materials
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Experience of use of hand tools is a plus
