Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Roofer Helper to assist experienced roofing professionals in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems. Duties
- Assist roofers with the installation and repair of various roofing materials, including shingles, metal, and membrane systems
- Carry and organize roofing materials and tools on job sites
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and pry bars to support roofing tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Prepare work areas by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety barriers
- Help with caulking and sealing around roof penetrations to ensure waterproofing
- Read and interpret blueprints or project plans to support accurate installation
- Support carpentry tasks related to roof framing or structural components
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols
Skills
- Experience with hand tools and basic construction techniques
- Knowledge of carpentry and blueprint reading is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Familiarity with caulking, sealing, and handyman tasks is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
