Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright to join our team in Sudbury. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial equipment within our manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, along with expertise in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and HVAC systems.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for scheduling and tracking maintenance activities.
- Conduct troubleshooting of electrical systems with low voltage expertise and mechanical components to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform welding, boiler maintenance, HVAC repairs, and other specialized tasks as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Millwright or industrial electrician with a strong background in mechanical knowledge and industrial maintenance.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawings effectively.
- Strong analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment failures quickly.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to industrial maintenance or electrician work are preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
