Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Installer to join our construction and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing natural and engineered stone surfaces with precision, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and following strict safety standards. This role involves residential and commercial projects including countertops, vanities, fireplace surrounds, and other custom stone installations.
Responsibilities
- Install granite, quartz, marble, and other stone surfaces according to project specifications and templates
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and installation plans to ensure accurate fit and placement
- Handle, position, and secure heavy stone materials safely and efficiently
- Use hand tools, power tools, and stone installation equipment properly and safely
- Perform on-site modifications such as seam adjustments, leveling, polishing touch-ups, and silicone/caulking work
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and finishing of all installed stone surfaces
- Protect surrounding areas and maintain a clean, safe work environment on job sites
- Collaborate with fabricators, project managers, and other installers to complete projects on schedule
- Identify and resolve installation issues on-site with attention to detail
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in stone installation (granite, quartz, marble, or similar materials) preferred
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, templates, and layout drawings
- Strong understanding of leveling, seam setting, and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of silicone, epoxy, and stone handling best practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy stone slabs and materials
- Valid driver’s license preferred but not required depending on role requirements
Pay: $28.00 per hour
