The hardest clinical work deserves the strongest clinical home.
CPC Clinics is hiring a senior trauma clinician to lead our work with clients navigating suicidality, domestic abuse recovery, and complex trauma. This is demanding, high skill work, and we are building the structure it requires: a collaborative team, clear risk protocols, coordinated care across services, and a clinic environment designed for safety and calm.
About CPC Clinics
CPC Clinics is a Calgary multidisciplinary practice delivering counselling, psychological and neurodevelopmental assessment, rTMS neurostimulation, and structured wellness programs under one roof. Complex clients are supported by a coordinated team rather than a single provider, which matters most precisely in high risk work.
The Role
You will carry a caseload centred on trauma and elevated risk: clients experiencing suicidal ideation, survivors rebuilding after intimate partner violence and domestic abuse, and clients with complex trauma histories. You will help formalize CPC's risk assessment and safety planning protocols as the team grows, which makes this a clinical leadership opportunity as well as a practice opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide evidence based treatment for complex trauma and PTSD
- Conduct structured suicide risk assessment, safety planning, and ongoing risk management within clear escalation protocols
- Support survivors of domestic abuse and intimate partner violence through stabilization, processing, and recovery phases
- Contribute to the development of clinic wide risk and crisis response protocols
- Collaborate with our assessment team on trauma related assessments, including PTSD assessment
- Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in compliance with College of Alberta Psychologists standards
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
- Registered Psychologist or Registered Provisional Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists
- Substantial experience treating complex trauma and managing clients with active suicidality
- Formal training in at least one trauma modality (EMDR, prolonged exposure, CPT, or equivalent) and in structured risk assessment
- Demonstrated sound judgment under clinical pressure
Assets
- DBT training or experience delivering DBT informed care
- Experience in crisis services, inpatient psychiatry, corrections, or community mental health
- Training in trauma informed care for intimate partner violence survivors
- Experience mentoring or supervising other clinicians
What We Offer
- A collaborative team structure, so high risk work is never carried in isolation

- Room to diversify: practitioners at CPC can expand into assessments, workshops, and structured programs over time, broadening both clinical range and earning potential
- Training support for specialized modalities and certifications
- A performance bonus recognizing strong delivery and caseload growth
- Full administrative support through Jane App: booking, billing, intake, and payments handled for you
- Internal referral flow from counselling, assessment, and program teams
- A voice in building the clinic's risk and crisis protocols
- Flexible scheduling across a seven day operating week
