About the Role
Critical Discoveries is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our exploration team as a Core Cutter at the Bissett Mine.
This is an entry-level position. No previous experience is required — training will be provided. Reporting to the Project Geologist or Senior Geologist, the Core Cutter plays an essential role in supporting exploration programs through accurate and safe core processing.
Core cutting & preparation: Operate core saw equipment safely to split drill core according to geologist instructions.
Core handling & organization: Move, organize, and maintain core boxes; ensure samples are clearly labeled and stored correctly.
Sampling support: Assist with tagging and organizing samples prior to shipment.
Worksite maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized core shack environment.
Safety & teamwork: Follow all safety procedures and support the exploration team in daily operational tasks.
About You
Strong commitment to safety
Reliability and punctuality
Ability to perform physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs)
Willingness to work in a camp-based environment
Ability to work independently and within a team
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is an asset
No prior mining or exploration experience is required
Ability to comply with 1911 Gold Corp’s “Dry Camp” Policy.
