Join the BGC Saskatoon Early Years Department as a Casual/On-Call Early Childhood Educator. Positions are available across our Early Learning Centres in Martensville, Warman, Saskatoon (John Lake School, and Evergreen School). Position Details
The Casual Early Childhood Educator position is part time (less than 30 hours per week) and is directly responsible to the ELC management teams, who are responsible to the Director of Early Years. The Casual ECE will work with the full-time ECE positions to provide a quality, safe and stimulating experience for all children attending the Centre.

Engage children in planning activities that provide opportunities to develop and enhance skills, based on their needs and wants
The Casual ECE, along with full time ECEs/ECE Assistants, will:

Assist with the implementation of daily routines and maintain a high level of supervision and safety under the supervisions of the ELC Management team according to Provincial Licensing Regulations and Procedures

Ensure the quality of the ELC by adhering to Provincial Licensing Regulations (which includes Health and Fire Regulations) as well as BGC Saskatoon Policies and Procedures.
- Work in a team-based environment
- Apply and interpret Early Childhood Education’s developmentally appropriate practices

End of shift daily cleanup.
- Maintain facility to highest safety standard; ensuring all toys/furniture/equipment are in good condition
Qualifications/Requirements

Experience working or volunteering with children
- Play & Exploration Training Phase 1 (to be obtained within first 3 months of employment)

First Aid/CPR not required but encouraged
ALL OFFERS OF EMPLOYMENT ARE CONDITIONAL ON VERIFICATION OF CRIMINAL RECORD & VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECKS.
Compensation
Hourly wage begins at $15.56/hr and increases $5.85-8.85 per hour if the applicant has their Saskatchewan Early Childhood Educator Certification (Level 1, 2 or 3).
