Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations within our medical or dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical and dental terminology, and experience managing electronic medical records. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner at the front desk
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and payments
- Prepare and organize patient charts, documents, and correspondence for provider review
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and follow-up appointments efficiently
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management within the office
Skills
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic or Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology and Dental Terminology
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a Medical Office setting is highly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and clarity
- Office experience including front desk responsibilities, administrative support, and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
