Corporate Campaign Representative – Events
(5-Month Contract)

Department overview
This position resides in the Donor Relations & Marketing department, which is responsible for raising funds in support of our organizational Community Impact goals. This is achieved primarily through the annual workplace campaign where hundreds of organizations fundraise on behalf of United Way Greater Toronto.
How you will make a difference:
As part of the 2026 Corporate Campaign Representative Team, the Corporate Campaign Representative - Events, will:
- Assist in the planning and execution of event logistics, including vendor procurement, venue setup, transportation, and equipment coordination.
- Support the preparation of event materials, including signage and other collateral.
- Manage the United Way Events email inbox, responding to inquiries from event participants.
- Provide outstanding customer service to event participants before, during, and after the event.
- Address participant inquiries, assist with online registration, and ensure an overall positive experience.
- Provide data entry support and customized reporting with tight turnaround, specific to our event platform, and CRM, and other tracking systems and databases as needed.
- Maintain daily and weekly ClimbUP and other workplace event participation and fundraising reports.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and managing event-day volunteers.
- Provide on-site supervision and support to volunteers, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any volunteer-related issues that may arise during the event.
- Assist with post-event evaluations, including gathering feedback from participants and volunteers.
- Assist in the preparation of event reports and provide insights for future event improvements.
- Communicate with constituents in a professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the role:
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and written/verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to exercise tact, discretion, and maintain confidentiality
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong track record of accuracy
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in fast-paced or high-pressure environments
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to work respectfully and inclusively with a diverse range of colleagues and stakeholders
- Previous experience using event-management or database software (asset)
- Previous events-related experience (asset)
- Willingness to contribute to the organization’s Reconciliation and Equity framework by engaging in learning opportunities and applying anti-oppressive and anti-racist practices internally and externally
Corporate Campaign Representatives should be aware of the time commitment and expectations:
- Training and onboarding will be provided during the first two weeks of the program.
- For the duration of the program — August 10, 2026, to December 18, 2026 — Corporate Campaign Representatives will work both remotely and in-person, in response to the needs of the programs they support.
- Mandatory requirement to be on site on Friday, November 13, 2026, Saturday November 14, 2026 and Sunday November 15, 2026, for the ClimbUP event.
- Employees will be engaged on a full-time basis.
