JOB SUMMARY
This role is dedicated to supporting the Front Desk Manager and the Front Desk. The Group Reservations Manager is responsible for managing group blocks, taking and entering reservations, and managing room inventory to maximize hotel occupancy and sales. This role ensures seamless coordination and communication between various departments, working closely with the Reservations Sales Manager to provide exceptional guest experiences. The Group Reservations Manager also collaborates with the front desk, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. This role is also responsible for continuous outbound sales calls and emails to companies and organizations to bring in new business. This role does not have the same days off as the Front Desk Manager. This position reports to the Front Office Manager and does not participate in Department Head incentives.
JOB DUTIES
- Manage group room blocks: gather information, input data, release blocks per RM SOPs.
- Intake and enter group business reservations.
- Manage purchase orders (POs) related to group business.
- Manage room inventory to maximize hotel occupancy and sales.
- Provide excellent customer service for room reservations.
- Collaborate with front desk, housekeeping, and other departments.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager, who handles catering and intake, then passes clients to the Reservations Manager for room needs.
- Generate and analyze occupancy and booking reports.
- Resolve issues related to reservations.
- Front Desk duties - Covers breaks, answers the phone when busy.
- Outbound sales calls.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Note – this role works between the hours of 10 am and 8 pm and works on weekends.
- Demonstrates understanding and awareness of all company policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene, and Safety
- Performs related duties and other projects as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education
A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience is also acceptable.
Experience
Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience in a hotel front desk position

Pay: $19.00 per hour
