La Grotta Mediterrean Market is seeking an experienced deli , counter personnel to join our team. Someone with a passion for Deli Products, Antipastos, and knowledge European Deli Meat & Products and Mediterranean foods is an asset. Experience with Deli Slicers, wrappers, graters etc a definite asset.
Duties are varied and include service of customers for deli/cheese products, preparation of in store made salads, sandwiches, & catering trays.
Preference will be given to candidates with their Food Handling Certificate (Current) deli/cheese product knowledge and experience with deli equipment used to slice and package our products. Shifts may vary over the entire week as currently our hours are 9am-7pm Monday to Saturday and Noon to 5pm Sunday. Knowledge of proper sanitation of all work areas is also required.
Position is currently part-time but after 3 months should change to full-time.
