Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. Previous restaurant or service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this dynamic environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Completes assigned opening and closing duties to prepare the store for successful service days
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items according to safety and sanitation standards
- Prepare a diverse range of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes etc.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, kitchen stations, and service areas throughout the day
- Assist with food preparation, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Monitor and complete restocking product following FIFO
- handle customer inquiries, feedback and complaints professionally and promptly to resolve issues and exceed their expectations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and taking initiative to stay busy and complete tasks when not serving clients
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties
- Support team members in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Experience in serving, cashiering, or restaurant roles is advantageous
- Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- flexibility in scheduling, including early mornings, weekends and holidays
