The Quality Assurance Specialist reports to the Quality Assurance Director, Supply Chain.
To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Provide support in Development of the Procurement Quality and supporting procedures and assist with the implementation of the QA program through providing training on applicable program requirements.

Assisting QA Director, Supply Chain in ensuring satisfactory performance with regards to Procurement Quality Objectives

Planning and coordinating and/or conducting PQA self -assessments and monitoring activities within the Procurement Quality Team and reporting on their outcome

Identification, recording and reporting quality problems and issues
- Provide support in verification and confirmation of Procurement QA program implementation and effectiveness

Support the QA Director, Supply Chain with Training Coordination activities within the PQA Team.

University bachelor's degree in engineering. Experience in the nuclear field is an asset.

Minimum of 3-5 years practical working experience in a relevant manufacturing field.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment, and techniques.

Working knowledge of CSA N 285.0, CSA N299 and CSA N286-12 and ASME codes is an asset.

Good understanding of relevant CANDU systems and retube technology is an asset.

Basic computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
