We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and legal requirements
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients regarding proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Review patient medication profiles for appropriateness, allergies, and contraindications
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and address patient needs
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies
- Monitor medication inventory levels and coordinate procurement as needed
- Educate patients and staff on new medications, medical terminology, and medication administration procedures
- Assist in developing protocols for medication management in specialized areas such as pediatrics or acute care units
Experience
- Prior hospital experience is highly preferred, especially within acute care or pediatric settings
- Strong background in patient care, with a focus on medication safety and medical terminology
- Experience with medication administration processes and protocols in a clinical environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members
- Certification as a licensed Pharmacist is required, along with current licensure in the relevant state or region
