Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, taking orders accurately, and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires a strong focus on hospitality, food safety, and effective communication to deliver memorable service to our guests. Prior experience in food service and familiarity with restaurant POS systems are highly valued.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during the meal and addressing any concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including proper food handling and food safety protocols
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for billing, change calculation, and order accuracy
- Experience in hospitality or guest services roles is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
