The Director of Admissions is responsible for directing and managing the implementation and ongoing development of a reliable and adaptable admissions service. The role ensures the delivery of a customer-centric admissions experience while supporting the College’s enrolment objectives and maintaining operational effectiveness.
The Director of Admissions will work collaboratively with internal departments, partner Colleges, community organizations, and professional advisors to support admissions initiatives and institutional growth.
Duties and Responsibilities

Direct and manage the implementation of and ongoing development of a reliable and adaptable admissions service.

Ensure that the College obtains an admission service tailored to its requirements while considering the resources at hand.

Maintain operational effectiveness while overseeing the delivery of a customer-centric service to applicants and inquirers, including timely processing of applications and inquiries, adherence to set turnaround periods, and timely processing of inquiries.

Operate the OSAP application process for prospective students, making sure that those who are accepted are informed of their rights and obligations.

Assist in improving and ensuring the efficiency of the application procedures by collaborating with Admissions Representatives and the Marketing team.

Supervise the creation of written resources, such as instruction manuals, reference books, and web pages, to assist the admissions procedures.

Assist the Executive Vice President in assessing the effectiveness of admissions procedures and determining how to optimize the system so that it benefits both candidates and departments.

Ensure confidentiality and integrity of applicant and institutional information.

Other duties as assigned.

Create strategic objectives and initiatives to reach the desired enrolment.

Monitor and report on sectoral developments in admissions policies and on changes that can enable the College to anticipate and make the necessary preparations.

Encourage a culture of ongoing development.

Lead projects relating to admissions or applicant services, as required by the Executive Vice President.

Establish and maintain relationships with partner Colleges, community organizations, and professional expert advisors.

Participate in informal events, prepare, and deliver presentations as a representative of the College at these events.

Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in a higher education institution in the areas of admissions/registration, student services, marketing, or leadership in an educational setting.

Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience compiling and analyzing data and preparing a variety of reports.

Strong presentation and public speaking skills.

Master’s degree in Marketing & Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Higher Education Administration, or another related field.
