Plumbing & HVAC Helper / Labourer (Part-Time / Casual)
Oxin Mechanical Ltd. is a growing mechanical contracting company serving Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and the Sea-to-Sky region. We specialize in plumbing, HVAC, heating, gas fitting, and energy retrofit projects for multi-family residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.
We are currently looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Plumbing & HVAC Helper / Labourer to join our team on a part-time, casual basis. This position is ideal for someone interested in building a career in the mechanical trades and gaining hands-on experience in both plumbing and HVAC systems.
Position Details
- Casual / part-time position
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
- Variable hours based on project workload (no guaranteed minimum hours)
- Work primarily located throughout Metro Vancouver and surrounding areas
- Opportunity to transition to a full-time hourly position based on performance, reliability, and upcoming project workload
- Potential opportunity to pursue a plumbing or HVAC apprenticeship for the right candidate
Responsibilities
- Assist plumbers and HVAC technicians with installations, repairs, and maintenance work
- Load, unload, organize, and transport materials, tools, and equipment
- Assist with demolition, site preparation, and clean-up
- Support rough-in and finishing work for plumbing and HVAC systems
- Maintain safe and organized job sites
- Follow company safety procedures and site requirements
- Perform other labour and construction-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Interest in plumbing, HVAC, or the mechanical trades
- Previous plumbing, HVAC, construction, or labour experience is an asset but not required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying construction materials and equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence is required
- Own vehicle for commuting to job sites throughout Metro Vancouver is considered a strong asset
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
