We are seeking a responsible foreman in the epoxy trades to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in leadership and epoxy flooring installation tasks, including preparation, pouring, finishing, and repairs/touch ups. The Epoxy Specialist will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship, and guiding their team while adhering to safety standards and project management.
Duties
- Delegate tasks to team members at job sites to ensure proper and efficient execution of epoxy services.
- Use problem solving skills to adapt to unforeseen challenges that may arise during preparations and installations.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to grind surfaces in preparation for epoxy pouring.
- Thorough and meticulous cleaning of work area.
- Repair cement and concrete imperfections.
- Proper application of products for each job as necessary, such as crack filler & adhesives.
- Pour and roll epoxy coatings evenly and efficiently.
- Create even and aesthetically pleasing finishes such as epoxy flaking and metallics.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with completed work.
- Drive to and from job sites.
- Oversee the completion of projects on time while maintaining a safe work environment.
Experience / Requirements
- 2+ years in epoxy trades
- 5+ years in construction or general contracting
- Strong communication skills in English and French.
- Familiarity epoxy and construction equipment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills.
- A commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
- Skills in carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, and painting. (asset).
