Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring customers have a positive experience. Previous experience as a Barista is requited. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cash handling, and customer service within a dynamic team setting.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages following standardized recipes
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to ensure satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently followed during food handling and serving
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary, including basic food handling and serving duties
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
Skills
- Barista skills and confidence in making exceptional beverages every single time
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform food preparation and serving duties efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to maintain a clean workspace in accordance with health regulations
