Bolson Engineering and Environmental Services is looking to fill an entry level civil design/drafting position based out of Edmonton. A minor amount of travel to various job sites may be required (approximately 10-20%). The position would require preparation of road design, rough/final grading, underground utility designs (sanitary, storm, watermain), storm water management plans and more for various municipal, commercial and light industrial projects. Other tasks would include performing material take-offs and development of bill of materials, coordinating/processing survey data and field inspections depending on the nature of the project. A strong proficiency with Civil3D is required and experience with GIS applications would be an asset. Registration/certification with ASET or similar organization would be considered an advantage. A highly motivated team player with excellent written/oral communication skills as would be an ideal candidate for this position.
Required Experience:
- Civil Design or EDDT Diploma and 0-2 years of experience of Civil Design/Drafting experience, or
- 2-4 years of experience of Civil Design/Drafting experience in municipal, commercial and/or industrial design
Required Certification/Licensing:
- Class 5 Driver’s License (candidate must have own transportation).
Required Software Experience/Skillsets:
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- AutoTURN
- NavisWorks
- GIS Software Experience (GlobalMapper/ArcMap)
- Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
