Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian/Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong commitment to quality and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively to ensure high standards of hygiene
- Conduct periodic deep cleaning and special sanitation procedures as needed
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and break rooms
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting larger repair needs to appropriate personnel
- Follow safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to support overall building operations
- Outdoor yardwork (cutting grass, shoveling walkway, etc)
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles, preferably in commercial settings
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and identify when repairs are needed
- Good organizational skills to manage daily cleaning schedules efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
