Licensed Plumber / Service Technician
Job Summary
Utilicon Services Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Licensed Plumber to join our growing team. We provide plumbing, sewer, drain, vacuum truck, hydrovac, and environmental services across residential, commercial, industrial, municipal, and institutional sectors throughout Ontario.
This is a hands-on role that offers a wide variety of work, including plumbing service and repairs, drain cleaning, sewer inspections, camera locating, underground infrastructure maintenance, hydrovac excavation, and construction projects. The ideal candidate is versatile, mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
- Perform service calls including troubleshooting, repairs, drain cleaning, snaking, fixture replacements, and emergency plumbing repairs.
- Complete plumbing rough-ins, finishing work, renovations, tenant improvements, and new construction projects.
- Conduct camera inspections and pipe locating services for sanitary and storm systems.
- Assist with sewer and drain maintenance, catch basin cleaning, sump pit cleaning, trench drain cleaning, and related infrastructure work.
- Operate or assist with hydrovac excavation and vacuum truck operations when required.
- Drive company vehicles, including service trucks and potentially small vacuum units (G-license eligible).
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and site plans.
- Perform underground utility repairs, sewer repairs, water service repairs, and related contracting work.
- Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and plumbing specialty tools safely and effectively.
- Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, contractors, and site supervisors.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Complete service reports, inspection reports, and documentation accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Plumbing License (306A preferred).
- Experience in residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Experience with drain cleaning, snaking, sewer maintenance, and plumbing service work.
- Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings, and technical schematics.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience operating various tools and equipment.
- Experience with camera inspections, utility locating, hydrovac, vacuum truck operations, or underground construction is considered a strong asset.
- DZ license is an asset but not required.
- Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, digging, confined-space support, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour
