Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Attendant and Server to join our team. This dual-role position involves providing excellent guest services at the front desk while also delivering exceptional food and beverage service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and experience in food service and hospitality. This role is vital in ensuring our guests have a memorable experience from arrival to departure.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations at the front desk
- Handle guest check-in and check-out efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, utilizing POS and cashiering skills
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling, process payments, and provide accurate change
- Assist with food preparation when needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, counters, and kitchen stations
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Provide guest services by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant industry preferred but not mandatory; hospitality or guest services background is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS, cashiering, and basic math skills for handling transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tables and tasks efficiently
- Basic understanding of food industry standards including serving, upselling, and food safety protocols
- Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge is advantageous but not required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent multitasking abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or evenings if needed
