About the Role: Amave Group is an established construction firm specializing in high-quality commercial and residential projects across the Greater Toronto Area. We are currently looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team.
This is a key technical role for a self-motivated professional focused on the core of construction estimating: precision, site measurement, and accurate cost analysis
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Estimation: Prepare detailed, competitive cost estimates for various commercial and residential projects, focusing on material, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Site Assessments: Conduct site visits throughout the GTA to take accurate field measurements and assess project conditions.
- Drawings Analysis: Analyze architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and technical documents to define the project scope accurately.
- Cost Data Management: Maintain accurate internal pricing databases and historical cost records to ensure high-precision estimates.
- Project Scope Summaries: Compile clear, technical scope summaries and cost breakdowns for management review.
- Market Research: Stay updated on current material and labor market trends to ensure all estimates remain competitive and realistic.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in construction estimating (Commercial/Residential) in Ontario.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- A professional, reliable, and self-managed approach to work.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to travel to job sites across the GTA as required.
Compensation & Benefits:
