Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Break/Fix Computer Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of hardware and software issues for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Technicians will be expected to perform duties both in-store and on-site at customer residences. Efficient and respectful service is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair hardware issues for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Install and configure computer hardware and software.
- Assemble new computer builds.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on existing systems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand issues and provide timely solutions.
- Document all repairs and system installations.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in technology.
- Teaching and training clients of all ages to use their technology.
- To work in the store location and assist at the counter as well as in customer’s homes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Computer Repair Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hardware and/or software issues.
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of computer peripherals (e.g., printers, scanners).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Patience and strong customer communications skills
- Customer-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Certification from CompTIA A+ or equivalent is a plus.
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- Good written and verbal communication skills
