VegreKids Daycare & OSC is a non-profit early learning centre providing inclusive, high-quality care for children ages 16 weeks to 12 years. Our mission is to build strong foundations for children and families through compassionate care, meaningful support, and a love for learning.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. This role is essential in creating a nurturing and engaging environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and actively engage with children in a safe, supportive setting.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Provide caregiving services, including meal preparation, hygiene assistance, and emotional support.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress and needs.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure a cohesive and inclusive learning experience.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a childcare, classroom, or caregiving setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is an asset.
- Ability to create engaging, educational, and inclusive activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with children, families, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young learners.
Education & Certification Requirements
- Alberta Childcare Certification – Level 1, 2, or 3
- Standard Childcare First Aid with CPR/AED
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance (within 6 months)
- Alberta Intervention Record Check (within 6 months)
