Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. Red Chris is a gold and copper mine located in the Tahltan Territory, northern British Columbia. The mine has been in operation since 2015 and has been operated by Newmont since 2023.
Red Chris is now transitioning from open pit mining to underground block caving—an advanced mining method that extends mine life while reducing environmental impact. This transformation represents one of Canada’s most significant underground mining developments and introduces new technical complexity, large-scale underground infrastructure, and opportunities to implement world-class systems and practices.

As a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the rapid ramp-up of the Red Chris Block Cave Project by delivering high-quality, high-volume recruitment services.
You will help drive hiring at pace in a fast-moving project environment, ensuring roles are filled efficiently while maintaining a strong candidate and hiring manager experience. Working closely with hiring managers, you will support workforce growth during peak hiring periods and help keep the project on track through effective and timely delivery of talent.
In this role, you will also represent the project at job fairs and recruitment events, helping to attract and engage talent while promoting Newmont’s employer brand in the market.
- Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including job intake, sourcing, screening, and offer coordination

Execute sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for project and operational roles

Coordinate closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and priorities

Facilitate candidate management, ensuring a timely and positive candidate experience

Support internal mobility, transfers, and workforce planning initiatives

Ensure recruitment activities align with compliance, policies, and diversity objectives

Maintain accurate documentation within our ATS (SAP) and CRM (Phenom).

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., vendors, contractors)

Identify and escalate risks impacting hiring timelines or project delivery
- Significant experience in recruitment/talent acquisition within mining, construction, or large project environments

Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced setting

Strong knowledge of end-of-end recruitment processes and ATS and CRM systems

Experience supporting stakeholders in complex or geographically distributed teams

Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

High attention to detail and commitment to delivering a positive candidate experience

Preferably sourcing experience to build candidates pools with specific sets of experience
- This role is based in Vancouver, BC and is a hybrid position.

This opportunity is offered as a 2-year fixed-term contractor engagement, supporting a high-volume recruitment environment during a critical project ramp-up phase.

The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting and may include participation in recruitment events, job fairs, and stakeholder meetings at mine site.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$40-60 CAD Hourly . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
