Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, as well as the ability to handle freight and operate heavy equipment when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles when required.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- AZ/DZ License Required
