Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Red Seal 309A Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience, including industrial and renovation projects, with a strong ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various settings, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency with hand tools, power tools, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and low voltage systems, contributing to our ongoing projects and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical installations and repairs.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial environments, including low voltage wiring and control systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively during all phases of electrical work.
- Conduct renovations and upgrades on existing electrical infrastructure while adhering to safety standards.
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes.
- Collaborate with construction teams on new builds or renovation projects to ensure electrical components are correctly integrated.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues and implement timely solutions to prevent downtime.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.
Requirements
- Valid Red Seal 309A Journeyperson Electrician certification.
- Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong understanding of schematics and blueprints.
- Hands-on experience with construction projects, renovations, low voltage systems, PLC programming, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work in industrial settings.
- Handyman experience is considered an asset for versatile problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
