Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the head chef, overseeing daily kitchen operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. Responsibilities
- Assist the head chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
- Supervise and coordinate food preparation and cooking activities to maintain quality standards
- Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing training and guidance on food preparation, service, and safety protocols
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, demonstrating culinary expertise and creativity
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure consistent availability of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations
- Support restaurant management in implementing policies related to food service and hospitality excellence
- Serve as a role model for team management, fostering a positive work environment
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry best practices
- Excellent team management and leadership abilities with a focus on staff development
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Experience in restaurant management or kitchen operations is highly desirable
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management

Pay: From $27.60 per hour
