Seasonal Equipment Operator

Lethbridge County is hiring a Seasonal Equipment Operator to support road construction, drainage, and public works projects throughout the County.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, excavators, dozers, grader, scraper and tandem trucks
- Perform grading, excavation, hauling, and site preparation
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Report mechanical issues and assist with minor troubleshooting
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Assist with general labour duties as required
Qualifications
- Experience operating heavy equipment in road construction, drainage, or civil construction
- Strong understanding of safe work practices
- Mechanical knowledge is an asset
- Valid Class 3 driver’s licence required
- Class 1 driver’s licence is an asset
Working Conditions
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Overtime and weekend work may be required during the season
A satisfactory Police Information Check and Driver's Abstract are required for successful applicants.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $30.00-$33.00 per hour
