Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and oversee our cleaning operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that all housekeeping standards are met consistently, manage a team of cleaning staff, and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a background in hospitality or custodial services. Experience in hotel or industrial cleaning is preferred. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are maintained.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to promote efficiency and professionalism.
- Develop work schedules and assign tasks to team members based on occupancy levels and operational needs.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness protocols.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and stock levels.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
- Address guest concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Maintain detailed records of staff performance, training sessions, and operational reports.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality environments, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hotel or industrial cleaning standards and procedures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate staff and promote teamwork.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to enforce quality standards consistently.
- Good organizational skills for scheduling, inventory management, and record keeping.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, guests, and other departments.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
