ABOUT THE POSITION
AES is currently recruiting an experienced and licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technician for a leading transportation fleet operation in the Alliston area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance of heavy-duty trucks and transportation equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers, and fleet equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, steering, and brake systems
- Repair diesel engines, transmissions, driveline components, and air brake systems
- Complete annual safety inspections and regulatory compliance inspections
- Utilize diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting equipment
- Maintain accurate repair records and work orders
- Perform quality inspections on completed repairs
- Assist in reducing equipment downtime and improving fleet reliability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician License
- Preferred minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy truck maintenance and repair
- Proven diagnostic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience with diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles/equipment
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management abilities
- Proficient with computer systems and maintenance management software
- Valid Class G Driver’s License; AZ or DZ license is considered an asset
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Payrate $36.00 per hour + $1.00 per hour shift premium
- Overtime opportunities, where applicable
- Consistent schedule of four 11.5-hour shifts per week
