Job Overview
As our Licensee Sales Representative, you will be the face of our brand across your allocated regions. You will manage the entire sales cycle—from generating new business to maintaining and nurturing existing accounts. This is a hands-on, field-based role that requires regular travel, a passion for craft beer and a motivation to build lasting meaningful business relationships. This role is expected to be a part-time sales and delivery position, between 2-3 days per week. While our local region has deep penetration there is potential for measure growth in Kingston, Belleville and Trenton and significant growth in Toronto and Ottawa.
Account Management & Growth:
- Manage, service, and grow a portfolio of existing licensee accounts - bars, restaurants, pubs, retail bottle shops, events and event venues.
- Actively prospect and pitch to new accounts to secure draft beer lines, by the can service as well as retail bottle shop relationships
- Identify the potential for collaborative brews specifically for high visibility / high volume licensees.
- Ensure proper product rotation, inventory freshness, and brand visibility in all partner venues.
Brand Representation / Collaborations / Marketing:
- Identify opportunities whereby collaborative sampling events, tap takeovers, guided tastings, pairing dinners or the like can be used to educate consumers and drive Parsons beer sales (if deemed beneficial, limited requirement)
- Attend local consumer festivals, community events, and trade shows to represent the brewery (as deemed beneficial, very limited requirement)
- Coordinated focused marketing of beers.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain a regular call and visit cycle across your designated territories.
- Document all distribution promo beer give-aways for AGCO reporting and profitability metrics
- Document and account for all give-away tap handles, glassware, merch etc. “Keg deals” and generous merch give-aways need to be justified
- Track all sales data, account visits, and relationship development
- Collaborate closely with brewery and distribution staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and smooth deliveries. Monitoring and communicating with brewing team to stay atop of brewing/packaging schedule is key.
- Provide projected estimates for keg / canned beer needs to aid brewing / packaging
- schedules, maximizing licensee sales opportunities.
- Support Office Manager with accounts receivable, invoice tracking, and collecting payments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: multiple years of sales or hospitality experience in a senior capacity
- Vacation blackout dates: vacation is not permitted between May through October with limited exceptions
- Beer Knowledge: A genuine passion for craft beer and a developing understanding of brewing processes, styles and beer sales trends
- Certifications: Valid Smart Serve certification and a valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Skills: Outstanding negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Highlyself-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule effectively
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy 30L kegs (and rarely 50 kg kegs) and set up event materials/tents as needed. Parsons has a dolly for the transferring of kegs.
What We Offer
- Use of one of Parsons Brewing’s two delivery vehicles - Ford Cargo Van and Ford Expedition.
- Hourly wage: $23 / hour + 4% vacation pay and performance-based commissions. Commissions paid monthly on all licensee sales volumes
