Duties
- Safely lift, carry, and load heavy furniture and boxes using proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Operate equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and forklifts to facilitate efficient moving operations.
- Use communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients for smooth move planning and execution.
- Assist with packing belongings securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Drive commercial vehicles responsibly while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including inventory management of supplies and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions or concerns professionally and courteously.
Skills
- Proven experience in moving or warehouse environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and interact with customers.
- Previous warehouse experience that demonstrates familiarity with logistics and inventory handling.
- Valid G2 or G class licence would be an asset and should have experience of driving moving trucks.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting.
