Position Summary:
Chief Administrative Officer (the “CAO”) works closely with other senior leaders to ensure that the organization operates efficiently, complies with relevant regulations, and achieves strategic goals. Key areas of accountability include all corporate and administrative functions for the organization as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.
Main Duties:
- Provide leadership and input for strategic decisions and processes in support of and conjunction with CEO;
- Implement MSF’s strategy and manage assigned functions efficiently and effectively;
- Streamline internal processes and improve operational efficiency;
- Work collaboratively with CEO on formulating and developing vision, mission, strategic plans, processes and procedures and making recommendations to the Board;
- Provide leadership, support and guidance to administrative and support functions as required;
- Oversee the establishment of annual performance goals and objectives, performance evaluation, budgets and allocation of resources;
- Promote a positive workplace culture and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives;
- Ensure that the organization’s infrastructure supports business objectives and standards;
- Lead and support key standing committees and the Board pertaining to effective operations of the various units;
- Ensure that all organizational policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory standards;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management or other closely related fields (Master’s degree or MBA preferred);
- At least 8 years of senior management experience, preferable in public or non-profit unionized environment;
- Demonstrated ability to manage key constituent relationships;
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff at all levels;
- Strategic, innovative, forward looking and creative thinking;
- Experience in project management, process improvement, and implementing organizational change;
- Bilingual – English and Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin as asset).

Salary Range: $135,000- 170,000 per annum
