Job Overview
LVM Landscaping & Snow Removal Ltd. is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Foreman to lead our crew through landscaping, hardscaping, and seasonal snow removal projects. The ideal candidate has strong leadership abilities, hands‑on experience in the landscaping or construction trades, and the ability to manage crews, read project plans, and maintain high standards of quality and safety. This role is responsible for coordinating daily tasks, overseeing job‑site operations, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to LVM’s standards.
Duties
- Lead and supervise crews on landscaping, hardscaping, and snow removal projects
- Coordinate daily job‑site tasks to keep projects on schedule
- Review and interpret landscape plans, grades, measurements, and layout designs
- Operate and oversee equipment such as skid steers, compactors, and hand tools
- Ensure quality control on base prep, grading, stonework, and final installations
- Manage materials and deliveries, ensuring the crew has what they need
- Monitor project progress, identify delays, and adjust workflow as needed
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding project status
- Maintain job‑site safety, enforce protocols, and ensure a clean, organized work environment
- Assist with and direct snow removal operations during winter, including equipment use and crew coordination
- Work full‑time, typically 40 hours per week, with potential for up to 50 hours during peak season
Requirements
- Experience in landscaping or hardscaping with a strong background in supervising crews
- Proven ability to lead labourers and manage workflow on job sites
- Skid steer operation experience and confidence using ________ and other equipment
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, grades, measurements, and layout designs
- Knowledge of base prep and grading for patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape installs
- Quality control experience ensuring work meets LVM standards
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Understanding of job‑site safety protocols and ability to enforce safe work practices
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including winter
- Snow removal experience (equipment or crew direction) is an asset
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Availability for 40–50 hours/week, depending on season and workload
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
