Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role involves operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to efficiently manage inventory and support warehouse distribution operations. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock and ensuring proper storage practices
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety and operational standards are maintained
- Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order fulfillment
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required to handle materials safely and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain workflow efficiency
Experience
- Previous experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control
- Basic math skills necessary for accurate counting and measurement tasks
- Experience with warehouse distribution processes and heavy lifting procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to safety and detail
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
