Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate clients on product options, and ensure a welcoming and professional environment. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to handle retail sales efficiently. The Budtender will play a key role in promoting responsible consumption and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting appropriate cannabis products based on their preferences and needs
- Educate customers on product effects, strains, dosages, and consumption methods
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management
- Maintain knowledge of current product offerings, promotions, and industry trends to upsell effectively
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding sale and distribution of cannabis products
- Manage stock levels through merchandising, filing, and inventory tracking
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with store merchandising, display setup, and organization to enhance the shopping experience
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary for stocking shelves or moving inventory
- Uphold cleanliness standards within the store environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, customer service, or hospitality environments
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French is a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word; basic computer operation skills required
- Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and cash handling best practices
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and time management capabilities
- Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining ethical standards
- Demonstrated leadership qualities or previous supervisory experience is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for stock management
- Multilingual skills or experience working with diverse populations are highly desirable
